New owners Bill and Stacie Sutter and faithful dog Sheba. Welcome you to South Beach Inn ABOUT US: In May, 2004, we took a life-changing trip to Texas' Gulf Coast from our home in Seattle, Washington. We visited Corpus Christi and Rockport, then headed South to South Padre Island, where we fell in love with the Island and the Beach, and decided we wanted to stay. We were in luck, South Beach Inn had just come up for sale, and it was perfect for us! We jumped in head first, and bought the hotel. We tied up loose ends in Seattle, moved to South Padre Island, and took over the hotel on July 9, 2004. Bill, who grew up in the entrepreneurial footsteps of his father, thinks this seems like the next thing to do - run his own business. As a handyman and mechanic, he is able to fix anything, and has been working on hotel maintenance since we arrived. Stacie feels it's a dream come true - life on a tropical island, only steps from a beautiful sandy beach. Happy to quit her job in the corporate world and move on to simpler things, she has been running the hotel office and learning housekeeping and Spanish as time allows. Although neither of us speaks Spanish, we hope to learn quickly. (No hablamos Espanol, pero apprendemos hablar Espanol.) We invite you to visit us. We will strive to make your stay pleasant and memorable in every way.
